(1) Criteria for canceling medical treatment

Below is a guideline for canceling medical treatment if you meet the requirements of a or b.

・For symptomatic persons:
(a) 7 days have passed since the day of onset, and 24 hours have passed since the symptoms subsided.
If the symptoms have not improved on the 7th day, 24 hours have passed since the symptoms improved.

・For asymptomatic persons:
A. Seven days have passed since the sample collection date was day 0.
(b) A negative test using a test kit has been confirmed on the 5th day from the date of sample collection.
In this case, it can be canceled after 5 days (6th day).
In addition, the test on the 6th day must be confirmed negative.
In this case, it can be canceled on the same day (after confirming the test results).
However, the test kit to be used must be approved by the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law.

Although there were no symptoms until then, if symptoms such as fever appear near the end of treatment, and if you take antipyretics, etc., treatment may be extended. Please be sure to check your temperature before taking internal medicine and contact the follow-up center.
At the end of treatment, we will inform you by short message (SMS) etc.

(2) Points to keep in mind after termination of medical treatment Even after termination of medical treatment,
・Those who fall under (1) symptomatic a or b: 10 days from the date of onset of symptoms ・(1) asymptomatic a or b: 7 days from the sample collection date Since the risk of infection remains until the days have passed, please check your health condition by yourself, such as temperature measurement, contact with high-risk people such as the elderly, visit high-risk facilities unnecessarily, and reduce the risk of infection. We ask that you take voluntary measures to prevent infection, such as avoiding high places, eating out, etc., and wearing a mask.

6 Life during medical treatment

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has created a "handbook for home care patients" that summarizes things to be aware of while recuperating at home due to the new coronavirus infection.
I would appreciate it if you could refer to it if you have any questions during your medical treatment.
