For those who are recuperating at home due to the new coronavirus infection

How to spend your time while waiting at home until hospitalization or hotel admission, and during home recuperation

・Take your temperature twice a day (morning and evening) and monitor your physical condition carefully.

・Please take the following measures to prevent the spread of infection to your housemates and people around you.

  1. Please avoid going out and contacting other people (including those who live with you) until the medical treatment is lifted.
  2. Please prepare a private room for those who have tested positive and spend time there. If you unavoidably share a toilet or bathroom with someone who lives with you, please disinfect it properly after use.

About health observation

If you are in the hospital or are waiting for medical treatment at a hotel, you may receive a phone call from the public health center, etc., so please answer the phone.

*The number may not always start with 03, as calls may be made from business-use smartphones.

If you are recuperating at home, please measure your body temperature twice a day.

Those with symptoms

The guideline for canceling medical treatment is when 7 days have passed from the day after the onset of symptoms and 24 hours have passed after the symptoms have subsided.

If the symptoms have not improved on the 7th day, or if 24 hours have passed since the symptoms improved, the treatment should be terminated.

However, since the risk of infection remains until 10 days have passed, please implement the following two points.

・Confirmation of health status by yourself, such as temperature measurement

・Voluntary infection prevention actions such as avoiding contact with high-risk people such as the elderly, non-urgent visits to high-risk facilities, using places with high risk of infection and eating together, wearing a mask, etc.

*Applies to those who are undergoing medical treatment as of September 7, 2022.

b. Those who are hospitalized (including those who are in facilities for the elderly)

10 days have passed since the day after the onset of symptoms and 72 hours have passed since the symptoms subsided.

If the symptoms have not improved on the 10th day, and 72 hours have passed after the symptoms have improved, the treatment should be terminated.

Those who have never had symptoms (asymptomatic pathogen carriers)

A. The guideline for canceling medical treatment is when 7 days have passed since the sample collection date of the test that served as the basis for the diagnosis is day 0.

In addition to a., if the test with the antigen qualitative test kit Note on the 5th day is confirmed to be negative, the waiting period can be canceled after 5 days have passed (day 6). In addition, if a negative test is confirmed on the 6th day, it is possible to cancel the standby on the same day (after the test result is confirmed).

About refraining from going out during the medical treatment period

If a symptomatic person has passed 24 hours after their symptoms have subsided, or if they are asymptomatic, they should only go out or interact with others for a short period of time, do not use public transportation when traveling, and when going out or interacting with others You can go out to the minimum necessary extent, such as shopping for groceries, on the premise that you will take voluntary infection prevention actions such as wearing a mask at all times.

  • Currently, due to the rapid spread of the infection, the public health center is not contacting those who are recuperating at home to cancel the recuperation. Please manage your own health observation and the number of days of medical treatment.
  • If it is determined by health observation that the symptoms of the new coronavirus infection continue and the criteria for canceling medical treatment are not met, the period of discharge and medical treatment may be extended.
