Aggressive recommendation of vaccination resumed
routine vaccination
Based on the notification of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare dated June 14, 2013, we refrained from actively recommending cervical cancer (human papillomavirus (HPV) infection) preventive vaccines. Adverse reactions after vaccination
- Local reactions such as pain, redness, and swelling at the injection site, and systemic symptoms such as fatigue, muscle pain, headache, abdominal pain, joint pain, hives, dizziness, fever, and fainting. Both are transient and resolve within a few days.
- Severe side effects include rare shock or anaphylactoid symptoms (dyspnea, hives, etc.), Guillain-Barré syndrome (peripheral nerve disease such as weakness in both hands and feet), acute disseminated encephalomyelitis ( ADEM) (brain and nerve disease such as headache, vomiting, and decreased consciousness), various symptoms centering on pain or movement disorder may appear. If your physical condition changes after vaccination, please consult your doctor immediately.
- Fainting (so-called cerebral anemia) may occur after vaccination as a vasovagal reflex that may be due to pain or anxiety. When moving after the injection, have a parent or health care worker accompany you, and for about 30 minutes after the vaccination, sit in a place where you can leave your weight and observe the situation. Also, on the day of vaccination, avoid strenuous exercise and bathing, keep the vaccination site clean, and take good care of your physical condition.

accompanied by a guardian
As a general rule, children must be accompanied by a guardian when they are vaccinated, but those aged 13 or older who receive the cervical cancer vaccination can be vaccinated without being accompanied by a guardian. I can.
However, if the child is between the ages of 13 and under 16 and the guardian has read the "notice" handed out by the ward and is convinced that the child wishes to have the child vaccinated, the attachment "Cervical Cancer Vaccination" is required. Parents must sign the Consent Form and submit it to the medical institution along with the pre-examination form.
