The “Housing Security Benefit” is intended for those who have lost or are likely to lose their housing due to job separation, etc., and provides rent subsidies for 3 months (up to 9 months) along with employment support. .
Eligible person
Applies to all of the following items.
- Being in financial difficulty due to job separation, etc., and being homeless or at risk of being homeless
- On the date of application, it has been within 2 years since the date of quitting or closing the business, or the opportunity to earn a salary or other business income of the individual who is working has decreased due to reasons attributable to the individual or circumstances. , the working situation of the individual is in a situation equivalent to that of leaving the job or closing the business
- Mainly maintaining the livelihood of the household to which he/she belongs on the date of separation from employment
- The total amount of income of the applicant and those who belong to the same household as the applicant in the month in which the application date belongs is less than the sum of the standard amount and the rent amount of the rental housing where the applicant resides (income standard amount) To be (Note 1)
- The total amount of financial assets owned by the applicant and persons belonging to the same household as the applicant on the date of application must be equal to or less than the standard amount x 6 (however, it must not exceed 1 million yen) (Note 1). )
- To apply for a job to the Public Employment Security Office and to sincerely and enthusiastically conduct job-hunting activities with the aim of finding regular employment (Note 2).
- The applicant and those who belong to the same household as the applicant receive benefits under national employment policies (vocational training benefits) or similar benefits for the purpose of securing housing for displaced persons, etc. implemented by local governments. not
- Neither the applicant nor anyone who belongs to the same household as the applicant is a member of an organized crime group as stipulated in Article 2, Item 6 of the Act on Prevention of Unjust Acts by Organized Crime Group Members (Act No. 77 of 1991).

2 Preparation of application documents, etc.

3 Application by mail

4 Examination ~ payment decision
After examining the application documents and confirming your employment activities, the city will send you a payment decision form for the securing of housing benefit, and you will also carry out the transfer procedure for the securing of housing benefit.
The benefits will be transferred to the account of the landlord or the business operator entrusted by the landlord.
5 After payment decision

- If you apply to quit your job or close your business, and if you find a permanent job (employment contract with no fixed period or employment contract with a fixed period of 6 months or more) during the payment period, please submit aregular employment notification (Form 6 ) to the ward.) If you are employed as a regular employee and your income from work exceeds the standard amount of income, as a general rule, payments will be discontinued from the month in which you earned more than the standard amount of income. - If you applied for a decrease in income due to leave of absence, etc., if your employment situation has returned to the same state as before, and if your income from work exceeds the income standard amount, please contact the ward. In principle, payments will be discontinued from the month in which income exceeds the income standard amount, as with those who have applied for separation from work or business. (It may be judged by the income of the second month)
- If you move out of the house after the payment is decided (except when you have no choice but to move regardless of the tenant's fault, or when it is appropriate to move within the same municipality under the guidance of an independence consultation support organization, etc.) As a general rule, payments will be discontinued from the amount equivalent to the rent for the month following the month in which the move-out date belongs. 6 Application for extension
If you wish to apply for an extension (possible to re-extend) after payment has been decided, please submit the following documents.

Application for repayment
1 Those who were newly dismissed after receiving the previous payment
If you are newly dismissed (excluding dismissal due to serious reasons attributable to the recipient) after the end of the period of receiving the housing security benefit, you can apply again if you meet the payment requirements.
Payment requirements, application method, application documents, etc. will be the same as the first application. The payment period is up to 9 months.
2 Those who have experienced a decrease in income due to resignation other than dismissal, leave of absence, etc. after the last receipt (application acceptance period: until March 31, 2023)
As a special measure based on the impact of the new coronavirus infection, even in cases of income decrease due to resignation or leave of absence other than dismissal, application for repayment is limited to applications by March 31, 2023 (3 or 3 Monthly payment is limited and cannot be extended) is now possible.
