Support for creating plans to shorten working hours for doctors

From April 2024, the upper limit of overtime and holiday work for doctors will be applied. If it falls under the collaboration level B/B) and the intensive skill improvement level (C level), up to 1860 hours per year will be permitted as an exception.
In order to receive this special standard designation, in addition to meeting certain requirements, the medical institution must create a doctor's working hours reduction plan and be evaluated by the Medical Institution Working Environment Evaluation Center established by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (around September 2022). (scheduled to start from )), apply to the prefecture and receive designation.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Medical Work Environment Improvement Support Center will support initiatives related to the creation of plans to shorten working hours for doctors at medical institutions, with the aim of reforming the way doctors work.
