From September 26, 2022, due to the revision of the ministerial ordinance, the targets for medical institutions to report to the public health center regarding the new coronavirus infectious disease will be changed to 1 to 4 below.
*After September 26th, the public health center will only contact patients who are subject to notification.
For those who are not subject to notification, in principle, they will be recuperating at home.
By registering with the "Tokyo Positive Registration Center", you will be able to receive support as needed.

- People aged 65 and over (applies to those aged 65 at the time of examination)
- Those who need hospitalization
- Those who are at risk of becoming seriously ill and need new corona treatment drugs or oxygen administration

About contact from the public health center
We will contact you by SMS (Short Message Service) to the phone number registered at the medical institution. Please check the SMS from the public health center and be sure to answer your health condition etc. in the prescribed response form specified in the SMS. The public health center will check the answers and contact those who need hospitalization.

For those who are not subject to notification
Those who have been diagnosed with a new coronavirus infection at a medical institution, those who are not eligible for notification, those who have tested positive at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's free PCR test, etc., and those who have tested positive at a health inspection office, by test kit (*needs approval from the government) If you test positive, please register at the "Tokyo Positive Registration Center". By registering, you will be able to receive necessary support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

The concept of the treatment period is as follows.
The same applies to those who are not subject to notification from medical institutions to public health centers .
Those with symptoms
In principle, the treatment period for those with symptoms is 7 days from the day after the symptoms appeared. Adachi Public Health Center or Tokyo Metropolitan Follow-up Center may contact you by phone during the period of recuperation.
*Medical treatment ends 7 days or more from the day after the symptom appeared, and 24 hours or more after the symptom disappears. You will be able to go out without inspection.
Example 1) If symptoms appear on January 1st and no symptoms are confirmed on January 8th: You can go out from January 9th.
Example 2) If symptoms appear on January 1st and no symptoms are confirmed on January 9th: You can go out from January 10th. 
Those who are hospitalized (including those who are in a facility for the elderly)
As before, those who are hospitalized will be able to go out after 10 days have passed since the day after the onset of symptoms and 72 hours have passed since the symptoms have subsided.
*Those who are hospitalized 7 days after the onset of symptoms are eligible. Those who have not been hospitalized as of the 7th day will receive the same treatment period as those with symptoms above.
Example) If symptoms appear on January 1st and no symptoms are confirmed on January 8th: You can go out from January 12th.
asymptomatic
For those who have no symptoms, treatment will end after 7 days have passed from the day following the collection of the sample, as before. You will be able to go out without inspection. In addition, if the negative test is confirmed by the test kit on the 5th day, you will be able to go out from the 6th day.
Example 1) If a sample was taken on January 1st and a positive diagnosis was made but there are no symptoms: You can go out from January 9th. 
Example 2) If a sample was taken on January 1st and was diagnosed as positive, but there were no symptoms, and the test with a test kit was confirmed to be negative on the 5th day: You can go out from January 7th.
