About correspondence with limitation of outbreak report in new coronavirus infectious disease
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has reviewed all notifications for the transition to a new stage of With Corona, and from September 26, 2022, elderly people and those with a high risk of becoming seriously ill will be subject to submission of outbreak notifications nationwide. etc.
The following people are eligible for reporting:
- Over 65 years old
- Those requiring hospitalization
- Those who are at risk of aggravation and need new corona treatment drugs and oxygen administration
- Pregnant women
Even if you are diagnosed with a new coronavirus infection, in principle, you will not submit an outbreak notification unless you are eligible for an outbreak notification, but if you are diagnosed, you will be subject to a request to refrain from going out based on the Infectious Diseases Law. Please refrain from working during the period.
To those who are subject to notification
After September 26, 2022, the public health center will contact only those who are subject to notification of outbreaks. We will contact you by phone or short message service (SMS).
Note: The public health center may contact you using your mobile phone. If we are unable to contact you, a public health center staff member may visit you to confirm your safety, and in some cases we may provide information to the police. Please be sure to answer the phone.
For those who are not subject to notification
After September 26, 2022, the public health center will not contact those who are not eligible for notification of outbreaks. In principle, please monitor your own health.
If you wish to receive health observations from the home care follow-up center, delivery of meals/pulse oximeters, and accommodation, you must register with the Tokyo Positive Person Registration Center.

Home Care Support Center (Uchisapo Tokyo)
Among those who have tested positive for COVID-19, we ask those who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms and are at low risk of becoming seriously ill to observe their own health. At the "Home Recuperation Support Center (Uchisapo Tokyo)", the person receiving home recuperation responds to consultations when they notice changes in their physical condition and problems during recuperation.

Home care follow-up center
For those who are subject to notification of the outbreak and are receiving medical treatment at home, the Tokyo Home Care Follow-up Center may carry out health observations. If you are subject to health observation by the home care follow-up center, the center will contact you by SMS or phone.
Health observation by medical institutions
For those who are subject to notification of the outbreak and are recuperating at home, the medical institution that performed the medical examination and examination for the new coronavirus infectious disease will conduct a health observation.
If you are subject to health observation by a medical institution, you will be notified by the medical institution at the time of diagnosis, so please recuperate at home under the instructions of the medical institution. Also, if you feel unwell, please consult a medical institution.
Health observation by the Chuo Ward Public Health Center
The Chuo Ward Public Health Center may conduct health observations for those who are subject to notification of outbreaks and are recuperating at home. During the period of recuperation, you will be asked to register with the "New Coronavirus Infected Person Information Grasp/Management Support System (HER-SYS)" and either enter your physical condition or conduct health observations over the phone.
Note: Please enter My HER-SYS in the morning every day, as it also serves as a daily safety confirmation. If we are unable to confirm your safety, health center staff may visit your home or provide information to the police.

Lodging facility
If you have mild or no symptoms and are worried about infection in your home, you can use accommodation treatment. For those who are subject to notification of the outbreak, the public health center will coordinate with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to arrange a treatment facility. Those who are not subject to notification of outbreaks should register in advance with the Tokyo Positive Person Registration Center and apply by themselves at the following window.

hospitalization
Those who are judged to require treatment depending on the situation, such as the elderly, those with chronic illnesses, pregnant women, those with persistent fever or respiratory symptoms, etc., will be hospitalized.
In principle, hospitalization and medical expenses will be covered by public funds. (Depending on your income, some self-pay may be incurred.)
You will be responsible for the cost of renting hospital clothes and paying for your TV card while you are in the hospital.
