How to dispose of masks at home as a countermeasure against infectious diseases such as the new coronavirus
When throwing away garbage such as masks and tissues with runny nose, etc., please keep the following in mind.
○ Cover the trash can with a trash bag and tie it up as soon as possible before it becomes full.
○ Tightly tie the mask or tissue so that you do not touch it directly. At that time, remove the air from the garbage bag, and then tightly seal it.
○ After throwing away garbage, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and running water.

About collection stop of old clothes, old cloth
The old clothes and fabrics donated by residents are reused in Japan and overseas.
Due to the impact of the new coronavirus infectious disease, the distribution to overseas has been particularly difficult, and it has become difficult to recycle, and some neighborhood associations have suspended the group collection of old clothes and old cloth.
However, due to the recent recovery in the market, many neighborhood associations, which had temporarily suspended collection, resumed collection of used clothing and cloth.
For this reason, as of June, Nakano Ward is collecting old clothes and cloth except for the following 3 neighborhood associations.
〇 Neighborhood associations that have stopped
・Shōni Town Council ・Shōsan Neighborhood Association ・Saginomiya 3-chome Town Council
Please be aware of the following when disposing of used clothing and cloth.
*Cannot be issued on days when there is a forecast of rain, even temporarily. Please take it out on a sunny day.
*Never put out your mask. If a mask is included, it will not be collected from the perspective of preventing infection.
*If you need to dispose of a large amount, divide it into several portions and dispose of them.
We ask for the understanding and cooperation of all residents.
