Along with this, as a response when infected with the new coronavirus, the response method differs between those who are subject to outbreak notification and those who are not.

About review of all notification

On September 12, 2022, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare announced ``Review of all notifications for the transition to the new phase of With Corona''.
Based on the characteristics of the Omicron strain, in order to protect the elderly and other people at high risk of becoming seriously ill, the targets for notification (outbreak notification) by a doctor based on the Infectious Diseases Law are uniformly those aged 65 and over, those requiring hospitalization, etc. We limited to four types and decided to push forward reinforcement, prioritization of public health center system.
From September 26, 2020, we will change the way of thinking about medical treatment and review the notification of all patients nationwide. Operation after the revision will be as follows.

Person who is targeted for outbreak report

If you fall under any of the following 1 to 4, you will be subject to an outbreak notification.

  1. over 65 years old
  2. person requiring hospitalization
    (Note) Even if hospitalization is not necessary at the time of diagnosis, it also includes cases where the doctor has diagnosed that there is a possibility that hospitalization may be necessary due to underlying diseases, etc.
  3. Those who are at risk of becoming seriously ill and need to be administered new coronavirus drugs, or those who newly need oxygen administration due to the new coronavirus
  4. pregnant woman
