A close contact person is a person who came into contact with a positive person within 2 days before the onset of symptoms, such as those who fall under the following.

  • Those who live together (in the case of a two-family house, there is a shared space such as a bath and toilet)
  • Those who have been in contact with a positive person for more than 15 minutes without taking necessary infection prevention measures at a distance (1 meter as a guideline) where they can touch with their hands (depending on individual circumstances such as the surrounding environment and contact situation) comprehensively judge the infectivity)

About the waiting period for close contacts

The waiting period for close contacts is 5 days (released on the 6th day) from the day of the last contact with a positive person (*), but the tests using an antigen qualitative test kit on the 2nd and 3rd days (tests are at your own expense). Please use a kit that has been approved by the pharmaceutical affairs.), you can cancel from the 3rd day.

In addition, infants are not expected to use the antigen qualitative test kit, so they are not eligible for the shortened waiting period.

However, until the 7 days have passed, you will be asked to check your health condition by yourself, such as taking your temperature, and those who are at a high risk of becoming seriously ill if infected, such as the elderly and those with underlying diseases (hereinafter referred to as "high risk"). ), unnecessary and non-urgent visits to facilities for the elderly/disabled children and medical institutions where many high-risk people are admitted or hospitalized (excluding those for the purpose of medical examination, etc.), and risk of infection Avoid using high places, eating out, etc., and take measures against infection, such as wearing a mask.

How to spend the waiting period for close contacts

If you are a close contact person, please act as 1 to 6.

  1. Please refrain from going out for non-essential purposes as much as possible. If you have no choice but to go out, please take measures to prevent infection such as wearing a mask and disinfecting your hands, and do so in a short time.
  2. Please refrain from using public transportation. (Trains, buses, taxis, airplanes, etc. used by an unspecified number of people)
  3. Please take your temperature every day and check for cold symptoms (sore throat, fever, cough, malaise, etc.).
  4. Even if the results of the PCR test, etc., are negative, there is a possibility that you will develop symptoms during the waiting period, so please refrain from going out as much as possible.
  5. If you have any symptoms, please consult your family doctor or a medical institution or public health center where you have been tested.
  6. For those who will be spending time with their families, etc.
    • Please disinfect your fingers frequently.
