About how to put out household waste as a measure against new coronavirus infectious disease

We ask for your continued cooperation regarding how to dispose of resources and garbage.

The resource/garbage collection system is a social infrastructure for improving public health and maintaining a hygienic social life. In order to maintain and continue this infrastructure, it is necessary to properly and stably operate garbage collection and incineration at waste disposal plants. And the staff who engage in these are also working every day while facing the risk of being infected with the new corona virus.

In order to maintain the infrastructure that is essential for social life, it is important to prevent the infection of collection staff. Regarding how to dispose of recyclable resources and garbage, we would like to ask for further cooperation from residents as follows.

About how to put out household waste as a measure against new coronavirus infectious disease

In order to prevent the infection of collection workers, etc., please be sure to pay attention to the following points regarding how to dispose of resources and garbage.

Combustible waste

・Do not touch garbage directly.

・Tie up and seal the garbage bag tightly.

・If there is air in the garbage bag, it may explode when it is loaded into the garbage truck, so please remove as much air as possible before tying the garbage bag.

・Wrap waste such as used masks and tissues that the virus easily adheres to in paper such as newspaper, or put them in a separate small bag before placing them in the garbage bag.

PET bottles, glass bottles, cans

・After thoroughly washing and drying, wait about one week before disposing.

Non-burnable garbage, waste paper (newspapers, magazines, paper cartons, cardboard)

・Please leave the period where you do not touch directly for about a week before disposing.
