About new coronavirus vaccination for children (5 to 11 years old)

The third inoculation of children (5 to 11 years old) has started.
On September 7, 2020, we sent vaccination tickets to those who had passed 5 months after the second vaccination. After that, we will send out about two weeks before the inoculation date.
It has been reported that booster vaccination restores the onset preventive effect. Please consider getting vaccinated.

Regarding the application of the obligation to make efforts

On September 6, 2022, the obligation to make efforts was applied to the vaccination of children (5 to 11 years old).
The obligation to make an effort refers to the provisions of the Preventive Vaccination Act that ``must make efforts to receive vaccinations,'' and is different from an obligation.
Vaccination is not compulsory, and in the end, the decision to be vaccinated should be made only after the consent of the child and his or her guardian.

Precautions when inoculating

  • If a child was 11 years old at the time of the first dose and turns 12 years old by the time of the second dose, the 5-11 year old vaccine is also used for the second dose.
  • If your child turns 12 by the time of the 3rd dose, the "vaccine for ages 12 and over" should be used instead of the "vaccine for ages 5 to 11".
  • Wait at least 13 days before or after any other vaccination .

(explanatory note) We can receive inoculation on the same day as influenza vaccine. If you wish to be vaccinated at the same time, please check with the medical institution where you wish to be vaccinated.

Delivery time of vaccination ticket

1st and 2nd vaccination ticket

It has already been shipped to the intended recipient.
If you are about to turn 5 years old and have not been vaccinated for infants, use an infant vaccination ticket. In that case, the third vaccination ticket will not be used.

3rd vaccination ticket

On September 7, 2020, we sent vaccination tickets to those who had passed 5 months after the second vaccination.
