• Cancer screening is for healthy people without symptoms. If you have symptoms or are already undergoing follow-up, see a doctor instead of a checkup.

In Itabashi Ward, a "stomach cancer risk examination" will be conducted in conjunction with colorectal cancer examinations.

Refraining from receiving medical examinations due to concerns about infection with the new coronavirus infection may delay the discovery of the disease.
At medical institutions and venues where examinations are conducted, we are taking measures to prevent infection, such as disinfection and physical condition checks.

Target audience

• 40 years old (born from April 1, 1982 to March 31, 1983)
• 50 years old (born between April 1, 1972 and March 31, 1973)
• 60 years old (born between April 1, 1962 and March 31, 1963)

For those who fall under the above, a consultation ticket will be sent out at the end of May.
However, those who are eligible to move in after April will need to apply individually.

• 40-year-olds can choose to have either stomach cancer risk screening or stomach cancer screening (X-ray examination).
• Those aged 50 and 60 can choose one of the following: gastric cancer risk screening, stomach cancer screening (X-ray examination), or stomach cancer screening (endoscopy).

Those who cannot receive a medical examination

Those who have the opportunity to undergo similar examinations at work, those who are undergoing treatment for the disease in question, and those who are undergoing follow-up are not eligible for this examination.
In addition, the following people are not allowed to have a medical examination.

• Those who are taking PPI (proton pump inhibitor) for diseases of the esophagus, stomach, or duodenum
• Those who have undergone gastric or duodenal surgery
• Those who have been tested for Helicobacter pylori and have undergone eradication treatment in the past
• Those with renal failure or those undergoing dialysis treatment

• Stomach cancer risk screening is not a screening to detect stomach cancer. This is a check-up to determine the risk of developing stomach cancer, and for those at risk to undergo a detailed examination (such as a gastroscopy).
• The results of the examination will be provided to the ward through the implementing agency. In addition, if you receive a detailed examination based on the examination results, the city may receive information on the results of the detailed examination from the implementing agency. The results of medical examinations and detailed examinations will be used to improve the medical examination business and will be stored under appropriate management for five years. We ask that you give your consent before undergoing the examination.
