Considerations

1. Japan Post Bank / Post Office

・Please write “Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis” in your correspondence.

Also, if you wish to issue a receipt, please write "receipt request".

・Transfer fees will be waived for transactions at Japan Post Bank and post office counters.

2. Other financial institutions

・Depending on the financial institution you use, a transfer fee may be charged separately.

・If you wish to issue a receipt, please contact the contact information listed on the attached sheet with the following information.

Regarding tax treatment

(1) Individual

For individuals, this relief money falls under Article 78, Paragraph 2, Item 3 of the Income Tax Law.

In addition, because the Japanese Red Cross Society is designated as a special corporation under Article 24-5 of the Tokyo Metropolitan Tax Ordinance,

From the full amount of the donation (however, the upper limit is up to 30% of the total annual income of the donor)

4% of the amount after deducting 2,000 yen (for metropolitan inhabitant tax) will be deducted from individual inhabitant tax.

(2) Corporation

For corporations, this relief money corresponds to donations based on the provisions of Article 37, Paragraph 4 of the Corporation Tax Law.
