From November 9 (Wednesday), children aged 6 months to 4 years old will be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at 18 medical institutions in Nakano Ward. Inoculation is three times per person.

Vaccine to inoculate

Pfizer vaccine for infants (6 months to 4 years old) (1/10th the active ingredient of the Pfizer vaccine for 12 years and older)

Inoculation interval

  • After the first inoculation, please receive the second inoculation at intervals of 3 weeks.
  • After the 2nd inoculation, please receive the 3rd inoculation at an interval of 8 weeks.
  • Even if your child turns 5 years old after receiving the first or second dose, they will continue to receive the same infant Pfizer vaccines until the third dose.

Interval between other vaccinations

  • If other vaccinations are given before or after, in principle, leave an interval of at least 13 days between the new coronavirus vaccination.
  • Influenza vaccine can be vaccinated at the same time as the new corona vaccine.

  • After vaccination, side effects such as pain at the injection site, headache, and fever may occur.
