The Healthy Welfare Center conducts 3-4 month health checkups and 3-year-old child health checkups. In addition, in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, we have specified the time for you to visit us according to individual instructions, so we ask for your cooperation.

1. Health checkup for infants

To protect the health of infants and ensure their healthy growth, we perform the following health checkups. We also provide consultation on childcare and nutrition.

(1) 3-4 month old health checkup

The health checkup for children aged 3 to 4 months is an important checkup for early detection of diseases, growth, and development. In addition, we will guide you on how to proceed with health checkups and baby food, so please come by.

We will send a guide to your home in the month (early to mid) when your baby is 3 months old.

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, we will extend the consultation period for the time being until the day before the 7th month.

(2) Health checkup for 6- to 7-month-old infants

Please have a medical examination at a contracted medical institution in Nakano Ward. We will give you a health checkup card at the health checkup for 3 to 4 month olds. (For those who were not able to take the health checkup for 3 to 4 month olds, we will send you an examination slip.)

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, we will extend the consultation period for the time being until the day before the 9th month.

(3) 9-10 months old health checkup

Please have a medical examination at a contracted medical institution in Nakano Ward. We will give you a health checkup card at the health checkup for 3 to 4 month olds. (For those who were not able to take the health checkup for 3 to 4 month olds, we will send you an examination slip.)

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, we will extend the consultation period for the time being until the day before the child turns 1 year old.

(4) Health checkup for 1 year and 6 month old child/Dental health check for 1 year and 6 month old child

Around the age of 1 year and 6 months, it is an important time for babies to start walking on their own, to speak meaningful words, and to show an interest in eating as the number of teeth increases. Please make an appointment to check on your child's progress.

The Sukoyaka Welfare Center will send you information and a medical examination slip, so please have your child undergo a medical examination at a contracted medical institution in Nakano Ward between the ages of 1 year and 6 months and under 2 years old.

A notice will be sent to your home in the month before your baby turns 1 year and 6 months old (early to mid-month).

(5) Health checkup for 3-year-old child/Dental health checkup for 3-year-old child

Three-year-olds are an important period for mental development as they grow physically and mentally and become more self-assertive. In addition, it is about the time when the teeth will grow and they will be able to eat hard foods well. Please make an appointment to check on your child's progress.

(6) Dental health checkup for 5-year-olds

The age of 5 is a critical time for children to transition from baby teeth to permanent teeth. Parents and children should listen together to talk about important permanent teeth and advice from dentists about preventing tooth decay and oral health, and aim for healthy teeth and bodies that can eat deliciously.

We will send an information notice by the end of April to the guardians of children who will turn 5 years old during the relevant fiscal year.

(7) Infant follow-up guidance

At each Healthy Welfare Center, we follow up on the progress of children with concerns about delays in physical and mental growth and development based on the results of health checkups for infants. Please contact us if you are concerned about your child, even if it is not covered by the health checkup.

(8) Precise health checkup for infants

If, as a result of the infant health checkup, it is determined that a detailed examination is necessary, we will introduce you to a designated medical institution contracted by the 23 wards, and the examination, etc. (excluding examinations that require hospitalization) will be free of charge. issuing votes.

(9) Those who wish to have a medical examination outside Nakano Ward

If you wish to have an infant health checkup outside of Nakano Ward (e.g., 3-4 months health checkup, 1 year and 6 months health checkup, 3 years old child health checkup) for reasons such as returning home, please contact the municipality where you wish to have the examination. Above, please send the infant health check request request form to the Sukoyaka Welfare Center in charge of your area. Nakano Ward will send an infant health checkup request form to the municipality where the checkup is to be conducted.

2. vaccination

When a baby is born, the resistance (immunity) against diseases given by the mother is naturally lost as the baby grows. Vaccinations are a way to help your baby develop immunity and prevent illness. In advance, let's build immunity with vaccinations and get vaccinated to prevent infectious diseases and prevent epidemics.

3. For those who have moved to Nakano Ward / Health checkups for infants and vaccinations

(1) Health checkup for infants If you have not yet had a health checkup in the municipality where you live before moving in, we will give you a health checkup slip.
