Effects and types of vaccines for Omicron strains

Expected to be more effective against Omicron strains than conventional vaccines

It is expected to be more effective in preventing aggravation than conventional vaccines, and in preventing infection and disease, although the duration may be short.

Being a bivalent vaccine, it reacts to various novel coronaviruses

The bivalent vaccines for the original strain (Wuhan strain) and the Omicron strain have two different antigens, so the induced immunity is thought to respond to a wider variety of new coronaviruses. Therefore, it is expected that there is a high possibility that it will be effective against future mutant strains.

Both of the two types of vaccines (BA.1 compatible type/BA.4-5 compatible type) are expected to be more effective than conventional vaccines.

Omicron strain vaccine has two types of ingredients (BA.1 and BA.4-5), so there are two types of vaccines. Both vaccines are believed to have the effects described above.

* Vaccination is optional. Please check the instructions, information materials, Q&A of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, etc., and make your own decision about inoculation. .
