question

What kind of things did you do when you were in close contact?

Answer

A close contact person is someone who has been in close contact with someone who has been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus, or has been in contact for a long time, and has a relatively high possibility of being infected.

  • Those who lived together with the patient (confirmed) or had contact with the patient for a long time (including in the car, airplane, etc.)
  • A person who examined, nursed, or cared for a patient without proper infection protection
  • Those who may have had direct contact with contaminants such as respiratory secretions or bodily fluids of the patient
  • Persons who have been in contact with each other for more than 15 minutes at a distance (within about 1 m) that can be reached by reaching out to each other face-to-face

In order to quickly identify infected people, we have a policy of conducting inspections in principle for those who have had close contact with them.

In addition, in order to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has distributed a new coronavirus contact confirmation application (COCOA: COVID-19 Contact-Confirming Application). Please see this page for details.
