"Reiwa 4th fall start vaccination" is a booster vaccination limited to one time per person. Use one of the following vaccines:

  • Pfizer's Bivalent Vaccine for Omicron Strains
  • Moderna's Bivalent Vaccine for Omicron Strains
  • Conventional strain vaccine (monovalent) of Takeda (Novavacs)
For vaccination starting in the fall of 2022, the bivalent vaccine for the Omicron strain from Pfizer or Moderna is basically recommended. Takeda's novel coronavirus vaccine (Novavac) is a conventional vaccine, but it is positioned as an option for those who for some reason cannot receive the bivalent Omicron vaccine from Pfizer and Moderna. If you are unsure about vaccinations, please consult your family doctor. For more information, please see the Notice of Inoculations Starting in Fall 2022 (Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare website) .
