In addition to strengthening the acceptance system of medical institutions that respond to the spread of new coronavirus infection, we will continue to support medical institutions in the city as in 2021 in order to secure the regional medical system.

The 2022 New Coronavirus Infectious Disease Medical Institution Support Project consists of the following four projects. It is not necessary to carry out all subsidized projects. You can apply if you are eligible.
- Securing dedicated beds for new coronavirus infections
- Management of fever outpatient clinics, etc.
- Continuation of business during suspension of use of clinics and beds due to infection of employees, etc.
- Acceptance business such as transfer of hospital of patient after new coronavirus infectious disease recovery
Securing dedicated beds for new coronavirus infections
We will secure beds dedicated to COVID- 19 infections, and if those beds are used by residents of Setagaya Ward, we will subsidize them according to the severity of the patient.

Management of fever outpatient clinics, etc.
We will support medical institutions that carry out outpatient clinics for returnees and contacts, fever outpatient clinics, accept administrative samples for PCR tests, or conduct tests under health insurance.
In order to receive the subsidy, it is necessary to collect a PCR test sample at your own hospital (it is not necessary to carry out the test result judgment at your own hospital).

In 2022, the amount of subsidy varies depending on the number of inspections per month.

Target medical institution
Medical institutions that meet any of the following requirements are eligible.
- Operate an outpatient clinic for returnees and contacts within the ward.
- A medical institution that provides fever outpatient treatment for at least 3 hours a day and at least 10 days a month must be notified on its own website or the ward's website that it is doing so.
- Patients with suspected symptoms such as fever and cough must have a track record of home visits at least 4 times a month.
Continuation of business during suspension of use of clinics and beds due to infection of employees, etc.
We will support medical institutions that have closed or suspended the use of beds due to doctors and hospitalized patients contracting the new coronavirus infection.

Regarding non-consultation, all medical institutions in the city (However, non-bed clinics are limited to medical institutions that carry out "management of fever outpatient etc." in this subsidized project.) Medical institutions are eligible.
However, all of the following requirements must be met.
- Resume outpatient care and hospital bed use within the subsidy period.
- The reason for the suspension of use of hospitals and hospital beds is that an employee or an inpatient has or is suspected of having a new coronavirus infection.
- Publicize the closure and reopening on the website, etc.
- If there was no non-consultation, outpatient care (more than 3 hours per day) or home care was scheduled.
remarks
- For clinics without beds, one clinic will be counted as one line, and the maximum number of days scheduled for treatment within 14 days from the start date of the non-medical days will be the maximum.
- Regarding suspension of use of beds, the beds that were not used during the period of suspension of use of beds will be covered.
- The subsidy period will be the period during which the hospital is closed or the use of the hospital bed is suspended, or during the health observation period for those who are infected or suspected of being infected with the new coronavirus infection, whichever is shorter.

Discharge criteria indicated by the country We will support facilities that accept transferred patients who have recovered from the new coronavirus infection (hereinafter referred to as “post-recovery patients”).

Medical institutions and long-term care insurance facilities in the city that accept patients who have recovered from the new coronavirus and are transferred from medical institutions that accept hospitalization for new coronavirus infections in the city. Long-term care insurance facilities include long-term care health facilities, long-term care medical facilities, and long-term welfare facilities for the elderly (only when short stays are accepted). Please inquire about other facilities.

Medical institutions and long-term care insurance facilities that accept patients who have recovered from the new coronavirus and are transferred from medical institutions that accept hospitalizations for new coronavirus infections outside the city .
- A medical institution that accepts hospitalization for new coronavirus infections in the ward that transfers patients from their own hospital beds dedicated to new coronavirus infections to other general beds after recovery.
Receiving transfer support from the ward
Facilities that accept hospital transfers (or bed transfers) must agree to pre-registration and provide information to COVID-19 inpatient hospitals .
In addition, it is necessary to promptly change hospitals (or change beds) within 3 days from the day after the medical institution that accepts hospitalization has determined that the national discharge criteria have been met.
Assistance will not be provided if there is no rational reason for not being able to leave the hospital, such as other illnesses or the need for rehabilitation.
Hospitals established by the national government or local governments are not eligible for subsidies, but facilities that accept transfer patients after recovery from these hospitals can receive subsidies.

Issuance application (first time only)
In order to receive subsidies for support projects for medical institutions that respond to the new coronavirus infectious disease, it is necessary to first apply for a grant and receive a grant decision notification from the ward. Please submit the application for issuance as soon as possible. In addition, grant application is procedure only for the first time. Even if you are at a medical institution that received assistance in 2021, you will need to apply for issuance again.

Implementation status/performance report (quarterly)
After receiving the grant decision notice from the city, we will report the implementation status and results of the subsidized project to the city every quarter. After confirming the report documents, the city will send a notice of determination of the grant amount.
