Influenza vaccination for the elderly in 2022

We perform elderly person influenza vaccination business from Saturday, October 1 this year.
For those who are eligible, we plan to send out the vaccination pre-examination slip necessary for vaccination on September 22 (Thursday).

Target audience

  1. Those who are 65 years old or older as of December 31, 2020 (those born by January 1, 1958)
  2. As of December 31, 2022, those aged 60 or over and under 65 (those born between January 2, 1958 and January 1, 1963) with heart, kidney, and respiratory function Or those who have an immune function disorder due to the human immunodeficiency virus and have a handicapped person's notebook class 1 or equivalent disability

Implementation period

From October 1, 2020 (Saturday) to January 31, 2023 (Tuesday)

* Note: Those who reach their 60th or 65th birthday during the implementation period can be vaccinated from the day before their birthday (e.g., those born on December 2nd can be vaccinated from December 1st)

Inoculation method

Please bring your vaccination screening slip and health insurance card (which can confirm your address, name, and age) to the medical institution.

* Note 1: For those who fall under Target 2, please bring your disability certificate.
*Note 2 For households on public assistance and households receiving support for Japanese remaining in China, etc., please bring proof of this (e.g. public assistance household vote).
*Note 3: If you have not received the Vaccination Pre-screening Voucher or have lost it, please contact us as it will be distributed by mail or at the 2nd floor of the Cancer and Preventive Health Promotion Center.

Inoculation cost

Free (limited to 2022)

* Note 1 If you are vaccinated outside of the cooperating medical institutions in the 23 wards, you will be responsible for the full amount.

*Note 2 If you are certified as a pollution victim, please pay 2,500 yen at the medical institution window as usual and apply for reimbursement at the Pollution Health Section at a later date.

*Note 1: For cooperating medical institutions in the 22 wards other than Arakawa Ward, please contact the medical institution where you wish to receive the vaccine directly or the department in charge of vaccination in each ward.
*Note 2: Some medical institutions may require an appointment, so please inquire by phone or other means in advance before inoculating.
*Note 3 If you are vaccinated outside of the cooperating medical institutions in Tokyo's 23 wards, you will be responsible for the full cost of the vaccination. I can receive it. Notification of forwarding (change/suspension) of vaccination screening slips, etc.

If you wish to have the vaccination screening slip sent to an address other than the address registered as a resident, you will need to complete a forwarding procedure in advance.

Transfer procedure flow

Please submit the "Notification for Forwarding (Changing or Suspending) Vaccination Pre-screening Sheets, etc." to the Health Promotion Section, Health Promotion Section, Arakawa Ward Public Health Center.
Please download the transfer notification from the PDF below, or contact us and we will send it by mail or fax. Please send the forwarding form you filled out to the following mailing address as it contains personal information.
After that, in about a week, the city will mail the vaccination screening vote to the address you wish to forward it to.
