In Nakano Ward, with the support of study sessions, opinion exchange meetings, etc. by the "Residence Support Council Accompaniment Support Project" (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Housing Bureau Safe Residence Promotion Division) in 2020, On March 23, 2021, the "Nakano Ward Housing Support Council" was established based on the Act on Promotion of Supply of Housing (enacted in 2007).
Council role
Low-income earners, the elderly, people with disabilities, families raising children, and other people who need special consideration in securing housing (persons requiring consideration in securing housing) can move into private rental housing smoothly. Housing and welfare departments such as related organizations and housing support organizations will work together to provide seamless support from before moving in to when moving out for both those who need special consideration in securing housing and owners of private rental housing.
(Example) Support for elderly people living alone and other people who have trouble relocating, disseminating information on moving-in support projects, and holding various consultation meetings
