About reports of mass outbreaks of influenza, infectious gastroenteritis, and other diseases

In school facilities, nursery schools, social welfare facilities, etc., in the event of outbreaks of influenza, infectious gastroenteritis, or other diseases, we are asking them to report to the public health center along with contacting the supervising department.

In the event of a mass infection of the target infectious disease, please contact us immediately by the following methods.

Please report if any of the following conditions apply.

  • When death occurs due to influenza-like illness
  • When 2 or more hospitalized patients due to influenza-like illness occur in 7 days
  • When 10 or more patients with influenza-like illness or more than half of all users occur in 7 days
  • Even if the above does not apply, if a mass outbreak of influenza is suspected and the facility director deems it necessary to report

After that, until the infection is over, please send an email to Kita Ward Public Health Center Tuberculosis Infectious Diseases Section ( kansen@city.kita.lg.jp ) and report it every day.

Outbreaks of infectious gastroenteritis

Schools, nursery schools, social welfare facilities, etc.

Please report if any of the following conditions apply.

  • When two or more deaths or serious cases occur in one week due to or suspected to be due to the same infectious disease or food poisoning.
  • When 10 or more people with the same infectious disease or food poisoning or those who are suspected of having them occur, or when more than half of all users occur
  • Even if the above does not apply, if an outbreak of an infectious disease that exceeds the normal outbreak trend is suspected, and the facility director deems it necessary to report.

In any case, please contact the public health center (03-3919-3102). In the event of a mass outbreak, please download and complete the following Infectious Gastroenteritis Report Form. After that, until the infection is over, please send an email to Kita Ward Public Health Center Tuberculosis Infectious Diseases Section ( kansen@city.kita.lg.jp ) and report it every day.

Mass outbreaks such as fever, rash, and cold symptoms

Schools, nursery schools, social welfare facilities, etc.

(disease other than tuberculosis, influenza, infectious gastroenteritis, measles, rubella),

Please report if any of the following conditions apply. (Pathogen does not have to be confirmed)

  • 2 or more cases of death or serious illness within 1 week from the same source of infection
  • More than 10 people from the same infection source, more than half of all users in small facilities
  • Even if the above does not apply, if the outbreak of an infectious disease exceeding the normal outbreak trend is suspected and the facility director deems it necessary to report

In addition, when reporting, please consult and report to the kindergarten doctor or facility doctor.

Classes, grades, school closures

Kindergartens, elementary, junior high and high schools, universities, and vocational schools, etc., in the event of school closure, grade closure, or class closure due to influenza, infectious gastroenteritis, or other illness, immediately contact the public health center (03-3919-3102).
