In order to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections, HIV and syphilis tests were temporarily suspended .
Depending on the infection situation in the future, there is a possibility that the HIV/syphilis test will be canceled again.
HIV/syphilis test and consultation
The Kita Ward Public Health Center offers HIV tests and consultations anonymously and free of charge.
In principle, HIV tests (blood tests) are conducted by appointment on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month.
In addition, for those who wish, in principle, syphilis tests are carried out along with HIV tests on the 4th Monday of the month.
About inspection
- The test will be performed on the same day with results available on the same day.
- To obtain accurate results, wait at least 90 days after the opportunity of infection before taking the test.
- Anyone can take the test, not just residents of Kita Ward .
- If you wish to have an inspection , please be sure to make a reservation by phone in advance .
- There is no charge for the inspection.
- The inspection capacity is 8 people .

How to book an inspection
If you would like to have an inspection, please call the reservation dedicated phone number below. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. We will close as soon as we reach capacity .

- Reception hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays)
- Reception start date and time: The first day of the month before the month of the inspection
*If the 1st of the previous month falls on a weekend or holiday, the first business day.
(Example) If you wish to have an inspection on May 8 (Monday).
Because the 1st of the previous month is "April 1st (Saturday)",
We accept reservation of inspection from next business day "April 3 (Monday)".
Inspection flow (after reservation is complete)
- On the day of the examination, please come to the 1st floor of the Kita Ward Public Health Center (2-7-3 Higashijujo, Kita Ward) between 1:00 pm and 1:45 pm .
- Please offer the reservation number you gave at the time of reservation at the blood test reception. The person in charge will guide you.
- After blood collection, we will explain the test results.
Please wear a mask when you come to the venue. If you are not feeling well, we may refuse to take the test.
About test results
- The doctor will tell you directly orally.
- We do not issue medical certificates/certificates.
- If the HIV test result is false positive, a confirmatory test will be performed and the result will be explained on the following Monday.
