About identification of close contacts

A "close contact" is a patient's infectious period (from 2 days before the onset of symptoms to being isolated after diagnosis),

  1. Those who lived together with the patient (confirmed case) or had contact with the patient for a long time (including in a car, airplane, etc.)
  2. Those who examined, nursed, or cared for patients (confirmed cases) without adequate protection against infection
  3. Those who are likely to have come into direct contact with contaminants such as airway secretions or bodily fluids of patients (confirmed cases)
  4. Others: Persons who have been in contact with the "patient (confirmed case)" for 15 minutes or longer (surrounding environment and contact status) without necessary infection prevention measures at a distance that can be touched (1 meter as a guideline) Comprehensively judge the infectivity of the patient based on individual circumstances)

About infection control

Dedicated consultation desk and quick response support team for elderly and disabled facilities

If you are unsure about how to deal with infectious diseases in the facility, nurses and others will give you professional advice according to the situation at each facility. In addition, if necessary, a rapid response support team will visit the facility and provide on-the-spot advice. We accept consultations on infection prevention even in normal times.

*The telephone number of the dedicated consultation desk has been notified to the target facilities by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. For details, please contact the Itabashi Public Health Center.

Training videos and case studies on preventing the spread of infection at facilities

In order to increase the response capacity of facilities in the event of an infectious disease outbreak, it is important to prepare on a daily basis.

Please see the training videos and case studies based on the prevention of the spread of infection and infection control cases.

About inspection and human resource support for elderly facilities [Tokyo]

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is providing support so that the facility can take appropriate measures against infectious diseases in a prompt and appropriate manner. Please check the notices sent to each facility from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and consider preparing and using them before the occurrence of positive cases.
