However, if the combined income-based amount of municipal tax for the patient and all household members who live on the same household exceeds 564,000 yen, the monthly amount for hospitalization and treatment costs will be limited to 20,000 yen. In addition, the cost of continuing to be hospitalized after the day when the possibility of infection has disappeared (after the isolation is lifted) will not be covered by the public expenditure.

The amount of medical expenses required for compulsory hospitalization or the amount of medical expenses required for hospitalization that can be received under other laws (Article 30-2 of the Mental Health and Welfare Law (Article 58-17 of (including cases where it is applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to paragraph 2.) or the amount of benefits under other laws stipulated in Article 39 of the Infectious Disease Law.)
