New coupons were shipped at the end of April 2022. Please discard the coupons you currently have that have an expiration date of February 2022 as they cannot be used after May.
In order to prevent future rubella epidemics, we would like to ask those who are affected to cooperate in taking an antibody test.

Additional measures against rubella

Since July 2018, the number of rubella patients, mainly men in their 30s to 50s, has increased, especially in the Kanto region. Rubella is highly contagious, and if a pregnant woman catches rubella, her child may develop congenital rubella syndrome, which can cause eye, ear, and heart disease.
Based on this situation, from June 2019, in Meguro Ward, rubella antibody tests and prevention will be conducted for some of the men in their 40s and 50s who did not have the opportunity to receive public vaccinations. We started "rub shin antibody test and rubella 5th regular vaccination" based on the provisions of Article 5, Paragraph 1 of the Vaccination Law.
First of all, you can take a rubella antibody test using a coupon, and if you find that you do not have enough antibodies as a result, you can receive routine vaccination.
You may be able to take a rubella antibody test when you undergo a specific health checkup or a regular health checkup at work. For details, please contact the implementing medical institution.
