- First of all, take a rubella antibody test, and if you find that you do not have enough antibodies as a result of the antibody test, get a routine vaccination.
- The antibody test is performed by taking a blood sample at a medical checkup or at a nearby medical institution.

- Antibody tests may be taken together with physical examinations conducted at workplaces.

- If you have multiple coupons, please discard all but the latest expiration date.
- If you have received an antibody test or vaccination as an additional measure against rubella (Rubushin Stage 5) in another municipality before moving in, you do not need to take another antibody test or vaccination. This system can only be used once, so please discard unnecessary coupons.
What is Rubella
Rubella is an infectious disease caused by infection with the rubella virus. After an incubation period of 2 to 3 weeks after viral infection, rash, fever, and swollen lymph nodes are observed. If you do not have immunity, even adults can get infected and get sick.
Infection during early pregnancy also increases the chances of fetal infection and the baby developing congenital rubella syndrome, which is characterized by cataracts, deafness, and congenital heart disease.
There is no specific treatment for rubella, and symptomatic treatment is the main treatment. The only way to prevent infection is vaccination.
