Vaccine efficacy and safety
Vaccine effect
1st and 2nd vaccination
Although the data is from before the outbreak of the Omicron strain, it has been confirmed through clinical trials that it is about 90% effective in preventing the onset of disease. It has also been reported that the neutralizing antibody titer against the Omicron strain increased after inoculation.
3rd inoculation
The neutralizing antibody titer 28 days after the third vaccination is about four times higher than the neutralizing antibody titer 14 days after the second vaccination, and a certain level of efficacy can be expected.
Studies conducted overseas have reported that antibody titers significantly increased when other vaccines were given as the first dose and Novavax vaccine was given as a booster dose. In addition, it has been reported that neutralizing antibody titers against Omicron strains increased after three doses of Novavax vaccine.
