Changes in the number of patients with new coronavirus infections based on reports of outbreaks

When a medical institution makes a definitive diagnosis of a patient with a new coronavirus infection, it submits an outbreak notification to the nearest public health center based on the Infectious Diseases Control Law.

Changes in the number of patients with new coronavirus infections announced by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Social Welfare and Public Health

To residents

The purpose of announcing the infection status of the new coronavirus is to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and to maintain a safe and secure life for residents.

Currently, the infection is spreading in all areas of Tokyo, and in the current situation where there are no restrictions on movement, it can be said that infection can occur in any area inside or outside the city. Since the new coronavirus infection is a disease that occurs between people who come into close contact with each other, if the number of contacts is limited, there is no preventive significance in disclosing the infected area or the name of the facility. . In addition, it is necessary to take care not to cause confusion in the medical field or infringement of privacy due to the identification of individuals.

For this reason, we will not announce the infection status by region.

However, in the event of an incident that is considered to have a large social impact, such as a group infection in a facility or an unspecified number of close contacts, we will publish detailed information including the area where the incident occurred. .

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
