On December 22nd, the Bureau of Social Welfare and Public Health of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced that the number of reported cases of influenza in Tokyo exceeded the standard for the start of an epidemic (see note).
Note: Standard for the start of the epidemic: When the number of sentinel reports from the Infectious Disease Outbreak Surveillance exceeds 1.0 people/sentenced point (week).
- Since a full-scale epidemic is expected in the future, measures to prevent infection and prevent the spread of infection ( hand washing , rest , nutrition and hydration , cough etiquette , moderate indoor humidification and ventilation , vaccination ( children , elderly people) )) should be kept in mind by each and every one of us.
- If you suspect an infection, see your doctor. When visiting a medical institution, please contact the medical institution in advance by phone, etc., and receive instructions on the time period and method of examination, etc., and then wear a mask.
- Regarding the period of suspension of attendance at schools due to influenza, it is said that "5 days have passed since the onset of symptoms and 2 days have passed after the fever has subsided (for infants, 3 days have passed after the fever has subsided)". ( Commentary on infectious diseases that should be prevented at MEXT schools, page 5).
Assuming that the date of onset is day 0, the student will be able to attend school or kindergarten from the 6th day at the earliest, so please make decisions according to these criteria.
Let's cure properly so as not to infect the surroundings.
