This page is for people who will be 12 years old at the time of vaccination.

About vaccines

The vaccine for children (5 to 11 years old) is different from the Pfizer vaccine, which is administered to people over 12 years old, and the dosage and administration are different.

About coupons (vaccination tickets)

The envelope for sending the coupon (vaccination ticket) says "for pediatric vaccination", but the enclosed coupon (vaccination ticket) can be used even after turning 12 years old.

Inoculation interval

After 3 weeks have passed since the first vaccination, the second vaccination is possible.

Timing of inoculation

When the first dose is given at the age of 11 and the second dose at the age of 12

If you have received the pediatric vaccine for the first time, you will be vaccinated with the pediatric vaccine even if you reach your 12th birthday by the time of the second vaccination.
For both the 1st and 2nd visits, only telephone reservations are accepted, and reservations cannot be made through the reservation site.

Telephone reservation

You can make a reservation by phone at the Shibuya Ward Novel Coronavirus Vaccine Call Center.
Phone: 0120-045-405 ( toll-free)
Reception hours: 8:30 to 18:00 (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are also accepted)

When the first dose is given at the age of 12

If you have already reached your 12th birthday at the time of the first dose, you will be inoculated with the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, which are intended for those over the age of 12. Considerations

If you receive other vaccinations

When receiving other vaccinations before or after child vaccination (ages 5 to 11), in principle, please take vaccinations at intervals of 13 days or more. However, simultaneous vaccination is possible only for influenza vaccine. For details, please refer to the COVID-19 Vaccine Q&A "Can I receive the COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines at the same time? (Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare website)."
(Note) Please pay attention to the vaccination interval between the DT vaccine and Japanese encephalitis second stage vaccination. If you have any concerns, please consult your family doctor.

About some symptoms after vaccination

Males in their teens and 20s tended to have a lower incidence of myocarditis after vaccination with the Pfizer vaccine than with the Moderna vaccine. If you have an appointment for a Moderna vaccine, or have already received your first Moderna vaccine, and would like to receive a Pfizer vaccine, please reschedule your appointment and you will be able to receive the Pfizer vaccine. .
Pfizer's vaccine is also available in Shibuya Ward, so you can make a reservation.
