Volunteers commissioned by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare to support the lives of residents.
People who are well versed in the actual situation of the local community are engaged in consultation and support activities regarding problems in daily life, welfare for the elderly and people with disabilities, etc.
In addition, as a child commissioner under the Child Welfare Law, we also provide consultations on child welfare, and are a consultation partner for all aspects of life, from infants to the elderly.
Main activities
Counseling/support/monitoring activities
Please feel free to contact us about even the slightest thing, such as problems in your daily life, nursing care for your family, or worries about your disability.
It also plays a role as a mediator by collaborating with related organizations according to the content of the consultation.
elderly survey
From April to June every year in Nakano Ward, a local welfare officer conducts a visit survey to inquire about single-person households aged 75 or over, or households consisting of only persons aged 75 or over.
Depending on the situation, we will work with related organizations to provide necessary support, so please feel free to contact us.
We will also guide you on how to create an “Emergency Contact Card”.
Regarding measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, welfare officers will wear masks and disinfect their hands. Visits will be made at a distance of about 15 minutes. Please help us by wearing a mask.
In addition, the local welfare officer always carries a "public welfare children's commission certificate".

We carry out various activities in cooperation with local people and related organizations.

What is a chief children's committee member?
In order to promote activities related to child welfare, a "Chief Children's Commissioner" has been assigned.
In cooperation with Child Guidance Centers, schools, and Healthy Welfare Centers, we provide support for concerns during pregnancy and concerns about raising children.
It also serves as a link with related organizations, such as introducing welfare systems and child-rearing support services.

We watch over local children so that they can live healthily and safely, and provide consultation and support for any problems or worries about children and the child-rearing environment.
Information exchange with Child Guidance Centers, school visits
We are cooperating with Child Guidance Centers to ascertain the current situation in the areas we are responsible for.
We will visit nursery schools, kindergartens, elementary schools and junior high schools in Nakano Ward and share information with teachers.
Efforts for dissemination, enlightenment and cooperation
As the Nakano Ward Council of Children's Committee Members, in order to broaden awareness of the activities of community welfare volunteers and children's committee members and to expand cooperation, in addition to dissemination and awareness-raising activities such as panel exhibitions and consultation meetings, we also conduct a campaign to ensure that no one is overlooked in the event of a disaster. ”, “District liaison councils with relevant organizations such as schools, child consultation centers, and children and families support centers”.
