Osteopathic Clinic, Orthopedic Clinic, How to apply acupuncture, moxibustion, anma, and massage

To those enrolled in the Medical Care System for the Advanced Elderly

There are limited cases in which you can receive health insurance if you receive treatment by a judo therapist at an osteopathic clinic or an osteopathic clinic, or if you receive acupuncture, moxibustion, anma massage, or massage. We ask for your cooperation, as correct understanding and appropriate medical examinations will lead to the optimization of medical expenses.

1 When undergoing treatment by a judoka at an osteopathic or orthopedic clinic

[When you can use health insurance]

  • Fractures, dislocations, bruises, sprains (including so-called muscle spasms)

*For fractures and dislocations, it is necessary to obtain the consent of a doctor in advance, except when first aid is required.

[Precautions when receiving treatment]

  • Treatments for simple stiff shoulders, muscle fatigue, etc. are not covered by insurance and must be paid in full.
  • Judo therapists are allowed to make insurance claims on behalf of patients, so you can receive treatment by paying your own expenses. When you receive treatment, please check the treatment area and number of times on the "Medical Expenses Payment Application Form" and sign it.
  • If you are receiving treatment for the same injury at an insurance medical institution (hospital, clinic, etc.), it will not be covered by insurance.

Be sure to receive a receipt when you receive treatment such as judo therapy, as it is subject to medical expense deduction.
