Kosaiin Hospital has been designated as the Osaka Municipal Dementia Medical Center (regional type).

Our hospital has been designated as a dementia disease medical center (regional type) by the city of Osaka. We provide specialized medical consultations such as pre-first-visit medical consultations and coordination with related organizations.

In addition, we provide consultation support so that people with dementia can lead a smooth daily life even after their diagnosis, alleviating their anxiety about dementia.

We will continue to strive as a specialized medical institution for early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of dementia, such as improving the level of health care for dementia in the community through training for medical, nursing care, and welfare professionals. .

• A specialist will make a differential diagnosis and identify treatment strategies to provide more appropriate treatment and care methods. In addition, we will share medical information with family doctors as needed.

• We provide acute care including hospitalization for behavioral/psychological symptoms and physical complications of dementia.
  (However, since our hospital only has general beds, we may not be able to accept patients with severe mental symptoms.)

• When you request a consultation, we will ask you about your symptoms and any problems you may have, and provide consultation so that you can receive treatment smoothly. In addition, if necessary, we will work with medical institutions such as family doctors and related organizations such as regional comprehensive support centers to conduct assessments of patients and their families.

• In order to promote initiatives for dementia in the region and strengthen the support system, in cooperation with the Osaka City Hall department, medical and nursing care such as district medical associations, dementia support doctors, regional comprehensive support centers, and early dementia intensive support teams・Set up and manage meetings with welfare officials.

• We will hold workshops aimed at improving knowledge about dementia for medical, nursing care, and welfare professionals, including family doctors. In addition, if necessary, we will cooperate by dispatching lecturers to seminars on dementia care etc. conducted by other entities.

• After being diagnosed with dementia, we provide consultation support in cooperation with relevant local organizations so that appropriate medical care, nursing care, and welfare support services can be used.

• In addition to opportunities for interaction between people with dementia and their families, we will work to reduce anxiety in life after diagnosis through consultation support and lectures by professionals.
